Golden Dragon Citizen of the Year Award Dinner 2005

The Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre hosts a Golden Dragon Citizen of the Year Award Dinner to award two Winnipeggers who have made great contribution to the local communities. On November 10th, 2005, the event took place at the Winnipeg Convention Centre and there were about 750 people came to the dinner. The honorees were two outstanding Manitobans. One is Honourable Reg Alcock, former President of the Treasury Board, and the other one is Mr. Raymond Wan, architect and member of community boards. There was an auction during the dinner, and the funds raised from this auction had been used for the community contribution.

The gala was organized very successful and the guests were satisfied with it. The following volunteers had contributed to the success of the dinner: Anita Lee, Tina Chen, Shirley Chang, Malinda Lee, Elaine Embury, Terence Tsoi, and Jenny Mu.
