On February 5, 2017, the Winnipeg New Year Banquet was held as an indispensable feast for the whole city and an important spiritual and cultural feast for Winnipeg Chinese New Year. The Banquet was full bustling!
温城华埠发展商会与曼省中国慈善协会于2017年2月5日举办的温尼伯新年欢庆晚宴，作为每年必不可少的全城盛宴及温尼伯春节至关重要的一份精神文化大餐，各方各界知名人士都与我们在此共贺今年的中国新春！晚宴全程热闹非凡！
The dinner was sponsored by Winnipeg Chinatown Development Corp. and Chinese Benevolent Association, co-organized by Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre. Thanks to the Board members of WCCCC, the preparation of the office manager and the volunteers, and all attending guests. You made our Chinese New Year Banquet such a successful one!
此次晚宴由温城华埠发展商会与曼省中国慈善协会主办，温城中华文化中心协办。感谢文化中心的各位董事会成员，办公室经理及志愿者们的忙碌筹备，更加感谢各位嘉宾的到场，让我们今年的新年晚宴举办的如此圆满成功！

At the beginning, it sounded Salute to the Lieutenant Governor, welcoming the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, Hon. Janice C. Filmon.
晚宴于6:30 开始。庄严的省督欢迎曲响起，全体起立，恭迎曼尼托巴省省督Hon. Janice C. Filmon 的到来。
And beside Hon. Janice C. Filmon is our fantastic M.C. Dr. Tina Chen. 在旁边的是我们的主持人Dr. Tina Chen.
It was followed by the drums of joy, and a beautiful lion jumped out! Ching Wu Athletic Association brought us a lion dance show that lead us into the thick atmosphere of the Chinese New Year.
欢腾的鼓声正式为晚宴拉开帷幕，一头活灵活现的狮子在众多桌椅间灵活穿梭，Ching Wu Athletic Association为我们带来的舞狮表演真是把我们带入了浓浓的春节氛围，早已忘了自己身在海外，冲淡了不少乡愁。
Many Representatives of government brought us greetings. This shows the importance of Chinatown and Chinese communities in Manitoba, it is an integral part of multi-culture in Manitoba Province.
我们的晚宴迎来了各级政府代表，他们也带来了给我们新春祝福！见证了中国城和华人社区在曼省各行各界中的重要性，更是曼省多元文化中不可或缺的组成部分。
First, Hon. Janice C. Filmon brought us a greeting.
首先是曼尼托巴省省督Hon. Janice C. Filmon带来了代表皇室的问候。
Dr. Joseph N.H. Du, Chair of Winnipeg Chinatown Development Corp. and Hon. Philip S. Lee, Chair of Chinese Benevolent Association gave us touching greetings.
接下来，分别由两大主办方温城华埠发展商会的主席余嶽興醫师，和曼省中国慈善协会的主席兼前省督李紹麟先生为我们带来深切的问候和致辞。温城华埠发展商会于1982年成立，负责华埠的重建和美化工程。在重建华埠过程中，温城中华文化中心于1983年成立。
Mr. Terry Duguid, Government of Canada, and Hon. Ron Schuler, Province of Manitoba also brought us sincere greetings.
加拿大政府国会议员Mr. Terry Duguid，曼尼托巴省立法议会议员Hon. Ron Schuler也接连为我们带来了他们最真诚新年的问候。
It’s our extremely delicious dinner! There are all kinds of braised meat combined as Deluxe Cold Platter, as well as the most classic Hot & Sour Soup of Kum Koom Garden restaurant, a soup can make the whole body warm up, and the wonderful Fried shrimps with walnuts, Crab clamp, and etc.
然后就到了大家都期待万分的精致晚餐了！有满载各类卤肉的潮州大拼盘，光这一个菜就能让肉食者食指大动，还有金冠酒楼经典的七彩酸辣汤，喝一口能让整个人都暖起来，更别说还有美味的核桃虾和裹了满满一大圈虾肉的蟹钳等等，整个晚宴光是各种美食就已经让人目不暇接了。

When we are all satisfied, His Worship Mayor Brian Bowman brought us greetings and presents the owner of the Community Service Awards: Stella Choy.
待大家都吃到心满意足的时候，尊敬的温尼伯市长His Worship Mayor Brian Bowman为我们带来了问候，并为社区贡献者们颁发了温尼伯社区贡献奖。本次获奖的是Stella Choy。
Then Canada Post unveiled the Year of the Rooster Stamp. Only the head Canada post and WCCCC office own the full set of the Chinese Zodiac Stamps. We will hold a Zodiac Stamps display on Folklorama Chinese Pavilion to show our Chinese culture.
接下来加拿大邮局为我们公布今年的鸡年生肖邮票！近二十年来，加拿大邮局每年都会赠予温城中华文化中心一套精美的特色新年邮票！而集齐这种独一无二的，也唯有多伦多的加拿大邮局总部和我们温城文化中心了。而我们也会在承办民风节中国馆的时候向大家开放展示。
And Downtown Winnipeg Biz unveiled Chinatown Rooster Banner. The prize is $800 dollars. The most attractive part is the winner banner will be hang on the street for whole year until next year’s Banner Competition. Don’t miss the competition for next year!
Downtown Winnipeg Biz也公布了今年的鸡年生肖街旗的获奖设计，奖金$800刀，更别说随后这项设计街旗可是会被安置在市区中国城附近街区的所有路灯上整整一年，直至明年新的狗年生肖街旗获奖设计公布。各位设计师们可不要错过了明年的设计比赛！
And Dr.Patrick Choy, Vice president of Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre presents the Winnipeg Chinese Foundation Fund for us:

This year, instead of the performances, we would like to give everyone more time and space to talk with each other and make the banquet more full bustling.
我们根据往年晚宴的经验，并没有给大家带去太多的表演，而是留给大家足够的时间和空间相互交流，更显的亲密热闹，更有家宴的氛围。
